serving plate no.69

An unusual very flat plate in groggy clay with a rusted terra cotta glaze.

This release was inspired by the earliest of leaves falling.

These plates epitomize the variations found in nature. I never liked manufactured colour because it was always only ever one shade. In nature, a leaf or flower is never one solid colour but a complex combination of many shades, hues and often strange clashing colours.
