serving plate no.70

A very thin edged plate with a glaze that reminds me of shelf fungus including the little split in its lip.

This release was inspired by the earliest of leaves falling. These plates epitomize the variations found in nature. I never liked manufactured colour because it is only ever one shade. In nature, a leaf or flower is never one solid colour but a complex combination of many shades, hues and often strange clashing colours.
